COMMUNE
200+ chefs on one property
Countless community leaders
Welcome to COMMUNE. We're adding experiences daily so please be sure to check back for more exciting opportunities to visit our oasis. Outside of our weeklong VIP experiences, all experiences are sold individually.
The COMMUNE Street Market runs Wednesday to Sunday during both weeks from August 22nd until September 4th. Each night will be a new experience with a new group of chefs, totally different menus, and different thematic elements using our lighting design. Once purchased, you can expect a follow up email 2 weeks in advance of your visit with additional details on what to expect before arrival.
Thank you and we can't wait to share our cathartic experience with the guests of Houston.

The NOLJA! Korean Barbecue Experience
The NOLJA! experience brings together food, music, art, people, and cultures throughout the world, through the lens of Asian-Americans.
From the NOLJA! Crew:
Growing tired of other people and cultures taking Korean and other Asian food as a gimmick for merely viral intentions, NOLJA! made it a pact to create something uniquely ourselves, dictated by no one else. We want to create a family of like-minded individuals that want to cultivate Asian cultures they may or may not be familiar with, and maybe see how it’s similar to their own. Through a
series of live experiences, content, and more, NOLJA! is ready to celebrate.
The Mentors:
Deuki Hong | Sunday Hospitality | San Francisco, CA
Deuki Hong is a Korean-American chef, born in Seoul, Korea who moved to the U.S. at the age of 1. At 15, Deuki worked as a line cook under Aarón Sanchez at Centrico in New York City before heading to the Culinary Institute of America. After graduating near the top of his class, he cooked under David Chang at Momofuku before working on the line at Michelin three-starred Jean-Georges. Deuki was the Executive Chef of the smash-hit Baekjeong NYC in Manhattan’s Koreatown. He has been recognized as an Eater Young Gun, named to the Zagat 30 Under 30 list, and Forbes 30 under 30 list. He is also the co-author of the New York Times Best Seller, Koreatown: A Cookbook. In 2017, Deuki launched Sunday Hospitality Group, which has concepts such as Sunday Bird, Sunday at the Museum inside the Asian Art Museum, Sunday Bakeshop, and Sunday Gather in San Francisco.
Ted Kim | Seoul Sausage | Los Angeles, CA
Back in 2010, brothers Yong and Ted Kim started crafting Korean-inspired sausages in their kitchen. Their two signature sausages — the Kalbi and the Sweet & Spicy — quickly began to pick up buzz at the farmers markets, wineries, and parties where they popped up, so the Kims decided to quit their advertising jobs, officially launch Seoul Sausage Company, and audition for Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race season 3 on a lark. And lo and behold, they won! Since then, their food is shipped nationwide, sold to stadiums (coliseum, banc of California, AT&T stadiums) and the brothers continue to feed people across the country introducing Korean flavors!
Yong Kim | Seoul Sausage | Los Angeles, CA
Seoul Sausage made it their mission to be the ambassadors of Korean-American food. Brothers Ted & Yong first broke onto the scene after winning season 3 of Food Network's "The Great Food Truck Race". Since then they have used their marketing/cooking skills to offer their unique Korean takes on familiar classic American dishes at pop ups, catering events, stadiums and the hottest festivals around town. The boys have become synonymous with LA Food culture and the way a brand connects with its audience in the modern age.
Han Ly Hwang | Kim Jong Grillin' | Portland, OR
I love cats. I have a food cart called Kim Jong Grillin. I cook Korean food.
Sydney Kim | All Def Media | Los Angeles, CA
Sydney Kim started his career in college by starting a small full service production company where he did various experiences, music videos and original content series. That eventually lead him to being recruited by digital powerhouse AwesomenessTV. He was later recruited by All Def Media, where he helped amass a 15 million+ subscriber fan base along with several hit series and partnerships.
