INDIE CHEFS
COMMUNE
200+ chefs on one property
Countless community leaders
Welcome to COMMUNE. We're adding experiences daily so please be sure to check back for more exciting opportunities to visit our oasis. Outside of our weeklong VIP experiences, all experiences are sold individually.
The COMMUNE Street Market runs Wednesday to Sunday during both weeks from August 22nd until September 4th. Each night will be a new experience with a new group of chefs, totally different menus, and different thematic elements using our lighting design. Once purchased, you can expect a follow up email 2 weeks in advance of your visit with additional details on what to expect before arrival.
Thank you and we can't wait to share our cathartic experience with the guests of Houston.

DEGUSTATION POPUP: Hikayat al Sham: Stories from the Arab Diaspora with Reem Assil & Marcelle Afram
Reem Assil of Reem's California & Marcelle Afram of Shababi Palestinian Rotisserie Chicken are meeting for the first time at COMMUNE
Reem Assil is a Palestinian-Syrian chef based in Oakland, CA. She is the owner of Reem’s California, a nationally acclaimed restaurant, inspired by her passion for Arab street corner bakeries and the vibrant communities that surround them. Marcelle Afram is the chef owner of Shababi Palestinian Rotisserie Chicken in DC. Marcelle is Assyrian and Arab and has become an outspoken, non-binary transgender activist. Although they are both located on opposite coasts and have never met, we just had to have them meet and take part in a collaboration since they share so much in common from their outspoken nature and advocacy for causes they believe in, their kind and empathetic souls, and a similar interest in elevating their rich cultural food histories for a public that may not be as knowledgeable about it as we all feel they should be. The format and price point of this dinner is yet to be decided but we're excited for the opportunity for these two wonderful chefs to meet, work, and collaborate with one another at COMMUNE. Stay tuned for details.
