After working with various restaurant in Louisiana, Texas and Washington, DC, Kevin had an opportunity to open Himitsu in the neighborhood of Petworth in DC. He is currently the Executive Chef and Co-owner of HImitsu.
His resume includes working for chefs Aaron Silverman (Little Pearl, Pineapple and Pearl, Rose’s Luxury)(Only worked at Pineapple and Pearls), David Chang (Momofuku CCDC), Jose Andres (Oyamel), and Tyson Cole (Uchi).
Since opening HImitsu in 2016, HImitsu and Kevin has garnered national attention and accolades from all corners of the US. They include:
Food & Wine Best New Chef 2018, 2 times James Beard Rising Star Chef nominee, Bon Appetit Best New Restaurant in America 2017, Eater 12 Best New Restaurants in America 2017, Eater DC Restaurant of the Year 2017, Eater Young Gun 2017 semi-finalist
Kevin is now at the helm of Moon Rabbit, a modern Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Washington, D.C.
