Chef Fernay McPherson a San Francisco native started Minnie Bells in 2010 with catering small events and teaching youth cooking classes in her community of SF’s Fillmore District. The business evolved into corporate, special event catering, pop ups throughout the bay area, a food truck to now having a physical location inside Emeryville Public Market that opened in 2018. The name Minnie Bell's is the two women that inspired Chef Fernay in the kitchen. Her great aunt Minnie and late grandmother Lillie Bell.
