Deirdre Quinn, better known as Chef D, is the Executive Chef of Hammock Hospitality’s G&O in Chicago, IL. She started off with a bang by completely overhauling G&O’s former sandwich and salad focused menu to encompass global street-food-inspired fares. Her passion and aptitude for simple food that highlights bold, international flavors is evident in each dish. After studying at Kendall College, Quinn moved into her first line cook position under Boka Restaurant Group’s former Chef De Cuisine, Carl Shelton. Following this, she continued to grow at DMK’s Ada Street under Zoe Schor, then became Sous Chef to Joanna Stachon. Recognized for her leadership and strengths both in and out of the kitchen, Quinn was appointed to open several locations for the DMK group, including Marshall’s Landing and Fort Willow. Chef D is a Chicago native, life long Bears and Cubs fan, and an unmatched Harry Potter enthusiast.
