Chef Dawn spent her formative years honing a physical prowess and discipline that would bring her to the 2000 Sydney Olympics and a gold medal in the long jump at the 2001 International Association of Athletic Federations World Indoor Championships. She credits her world travels as an athlete as inspiration for her culinary style of ‘global comfort food’, with an emphasis on locally sourced ‘root to leaf’ and ‘nose to tail’ cooking. Chef Dawn admits to tapping into her competitive spirit, work ethic and drive when competing on national television shows Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, and (most recently) Top Chef.
