Brian Lampe originally hails from Piqua in southwest Ohio where he was born and raised. He was trained and graduated from Florida Culinary institute and did an externship at Cafe Boulud Palm Beach with Daniel Boulud. Later he moved to Tampa where he worked with Rooster owners Ferrell Alvarez and Ty Rodriguez at Mise en place as catering and sous chef. When Ferrell and Ty opened Rooster 9 years ago, they brought him along for the journey and he has since worked with them to execute their vision of the restaurant. Last year he was honored to accept the promotion and title of Executive Chef. He has a super cool wife and adorable daughter.
