Ana Castro (she/her/hers) was born in Weslaco, Texas. She was raised by her grandmother in Mexico City, where she found a love for food, not only as a source of nourishment but as an act of service. Her career has taken her to India, New York, Denmark and New Orleans, where she now resides. After learning from different cultures, she now looks inwards, reconnects with her Mexican heritage and tells her story, with the help of her team, at Lengua Madre, set to open mid august 2021.
